The MCX1 is an entry level 24 × 1 mono or 12 × 2 stereo, 1U rackmounted switcher. It features a novel rotary encoder control system with either a two-digit numeric or an eight character alphanumeric display. The encoder has positive detents and continuous rotation, allowing sources to be rolled over. The MCX1 can be supplied with either a front panel control module or a remote module connected via four core data cable for installation into existing equipment.
The unit can be configured for a wide variety of audio systems including transmission selectors, outside source selectors, monitoring panels or workstation selectors. Due to the simplicity of the control system, it provides a simple method of installing source selection into existing equipment.
The switcher can operate in either 24 × 1 mono or 12 × 2 stereo mode. The 24 audio inputs are via a 56 way EDAC connector on the rear panel and the two electronically balanced outputs are via rear panel XLR connectors.
