Storm are delighted to be supplying full Lighting, Rigging and Production Management services to Kilworth House Theatre‘s 2024 production of Singin’ In The Rain. As part of the theatre’s summer of Theatre and Live events. Lighting Design for the show is provided by Jason Taylor, which once again illuminates the stunning open air theatre.
With Kilworth being an outdoor theatre. The production makes full use of our IP Rated fixture inventory. Including Martin MAC Aura XIP and Chauvet Ovation E-910IP Profile‘s. The show also featured our new Robe T11 MFS Followspot‘s. Which are proving to be the perfect replacement for the classic HMI Followspots.
We also provided a number of retro lighting fixtures including Mole Richardson 5K’s, 2K’s and 1K’s along side PATT 23’s. All of which our in house R&D team retro-fitted with LED light sources providing full Battery & Wireless DMX control.
“It was important that when retro-fitting the fixtures, they were both battery powered and had in built wireless DMX. This ensured actors interacting with the fixtures were at no risk of injury from heat as would have been the case with a traditional tungsten lamp. It also allowed the actors to move them freely across the stage without any trailing cables.” says Storm’s Rental Manager, James Price.
“We enjoy taking on unique challenges, of which retro-fitting an LED source was one. We are delighted with the end results and the impact they have throughout the show, taking you all the way to 1920’s Hollywood” continues James.
